Please be aware of the recent scam that has been going around with the fraudsters claiming to be staff of the Hong Leong Bank fanpage. This is one of the sophisticated ways fraudsters try to trick you.

Hong Leong Bank would like to share the following best practices to protect yourself from scams:

❌ Never share your online banking login details (i.e. username & password), Card details or OTP with anyone via phone call, email or social network.

❌ Never access unknown links, website or open an attachment sent via unsolicited SMS, email or other popular text/instant communication applications, especially when the content is related to financial matters. ALWAYS CHECK THE URL before clicking on any links.

❌ Do not perform payments or transactions for any special rewards.

❌ Do not set your Connect password the same as those you use for your other online accounts. 

❗️ Create a highly secure and unique password that uses a combination of alphabets, numbers and symbols; remember to change your password regularly in case your password is inadvertently leaked.

❗️Avoid using online banking via public wi-fi or any unsecured networks.

❗️ Access online banking services and account balance notification with assistance from Hong Leong Bank staff only.

❗️Always read the latest security alerts shared by Hong Leong Bank periodically on email, social media, and in Hong Leong Bank Connect app.

❗️ Check the domain and make sure your you are accessing Hong Leong Bank Connect via an encrypted website connection by looking for the ‘lock icon’ on your browser next to the URL.
