Notice: Face authentication is now available on your HLB Con

Dear Valued Customer,

According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN on payment accounts and Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN on bank cards by the State Bank: From January 1st, 2025, customers must complete biometric authentication in order to be able to perform cash withdrawals or online transactions.

Biometric authentication is an advanced security method that helps prevent fraud and impersonation by comparing customers' biometric data with the information stored on their Citizen Identity Cards and is authenticated by the Ministry of Public Security.

Therefore, to ensure that your transactions are safe, seamless, and comply with legal requirements, Hong Leong Bank requires customers to promptly complete biometric authentication before January 1st, 2025 if you wish to continue to make cash withdrawals and online transactions.

For Vietnamese citizens, you will need to ensure you have the new CCCD with embedded chip in order to authenticate in HLB Connect.

For Foreigners, you will need to bring your passport and proof of your right to reside in Vietnam with one of the following documents:

i. Documentary evidence that you are a foreign student

- Student pass / Student ID

- Letter of acceptance from an institute of learning

- Letter from the relevant embassies

- Letter of offer from the College / University 

- Student Visa issued by the Immigration Department

- Or other supporting documents that can satisfy that you are genuinely studying in Vietnam

ii. Documentary evidence that you are genuinely employed in Vietnam

- Work permit / Residence Pass

- Letter from employer

- Letter of acceptance / appointment from employer

- Letter from the relevant embassies or other supporting documents that can satisfy that you are genuinely employed in Vietnam

iii. Any documents verifying your legal immigration into Vietnam
